Giving

Give is an invitation to live generously - with our resources, our time, and our gifts.

At Lovechurch, we believe giving is an act of worship and a response to God’s grace.

Whether it's through regular financial support or offering your skills to serve others, every act of generosity helps build the Church and extend hope to our communities.

When we give, we partner with what God is doing - and every contribution matters.

Give on a Sunday

If you prefer, you may give during one of our services by cash or cheque and placing in one of the offering containers. Giving envelopes are available if you would like to gift aid your donation.

Employer Matched Giving

Many employers offer matched giving schemes. In most cases, the company will match your donation pound-for-pound up to a specific amount; a handful of organisations will even double your gift.

You can download a list of companies that we understand currently match gifts donated by their employees. This list is not definitive, and many more companies may also offer this option.

If your employer is not listed, please contact the Human Resources or Social Responsibility Office at your workplace to find out if they operate a matched giving scheme.

Legacy Giving

Legacy giving is when you choose to give money to Lovechurch in your will.

Payroll Giving via your employer

Many employers offer Payroll Giving which allows you to give directly to Lovechurch from your salary before tax is deducted. This means if you give £100 per month and are a basic rate taxpayer, the gift will only cost you £80 from your net pay.

If you pay a higher rate of tax, £100 a month will only cost you £60 from your net pay. To find out if your employer offers Payroll Giving, contact your HR office.

FAQs

  • If you’re a UK taxpayer, the church can claim 25p for every £1 you give at no extra cost to you (with the usual “sufficient tax paid” condition). You can complete the Gift Aid form online from the Give page.

  • Yes. You can claim the difference between your rate and basic rate via Self Assessment or by asking HMRC to adjust your tax code.

  • Some employers let you donate from your gross pay before tax, so it costs you less to give (relief at source). Ask your HR team if they run a scheme.

  • There’s a monthly Financial Report linked in the transparency section below that shows income/expenditure headlines.

Transparency

We want to be open and transparent in our financial matters so please download the following document that gives the full picture of cost allocation and monthly income and expenditure.
