Spear Bournemouth
The award-winning Spear Programme helps young people overcome the challenges they face and build vital skills for their career, be fully prepared for the workplace and commit to long-term employment.
Our vision is to transform the lives of up to 90 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in the BCP area each year, giving them the support, skills and confidence they need to get into work (or re-enter education) and begin to build a future filled with hope.
Since the programme began 15 years ago in London, the Spear Programme has impacted the lives of more than 6,500 16-24 year olds. 75% of those who complete the Spear Programme not only get into work, but remain there a year later. Spear Bournemouth was launched in January 2021.
