The Pre-Marriage Course
What is The Pre-Marriage Course?
The Pre-Marriage Course is a series of five sessions to help engaged couples or those exploring the possibility of marriage, to build strong foundations for their future together.
Married for over 40 years Nicky and Sila Lee, authors of The Marriage Book, developed The Pre-Marriage Course to help couples invest in their relationship for a lasting marriage. Over five sessions, the course will help you to learn to communicate well, understand and appreciate your differences, and prepare for potential challenges.
Who is it for?
The course is designed for those who want to give their marriage the best possible start, whether they’re exploring marriage for the first time or have been married before.
The course is based on Christian principles but designed for all couples with or without a church background. You do not need to be getting married in a church to come on the course.
What can I expect?
Over five evenings via Zoom, we will be hosting digital content presented by Nicky and Sila Lee and learn practical tools to help couples:
Learn the art of communication
Recognise the importance of commitment
Recognise differences and resolve conflict
Discover love languages and create deeper connection
Discover shared goals, values and dreams in your adventure together
The course encourages each couple to discuss their relationship together and there is no need for any group discussion. There is plenty of opportunity to talk openly with the hosts and other support couples both before and after the sessions.
The Couple Survey
Once registered on the course, couples are asked to complete an online survey helping to identify and recognise topics to discuss as a couple prior to marriage.
What’s the cost?
The online course is free of charge whilst meeting remotely. You will need to purchase two copies of The Pre-Marriage Course Journal that accompanies the series from either The Alpha Shop or CLC.
When is the next course?
The next LOVECHURCH Pre-Marriage Course will be running in the Autumn, 2022.
